Geely, a Chinese automaker that owns well-known brands such as Volvo and Lotus, also has a number of innovative up-and-comers under its umbrella, including Zeekr. Zeekr has recently made headlines for updating its 001 electric vehicles (EV) to have the most extended range of any electric car on the market.

According to Zeekr, the 140kWh battery pack can deliver a range of 1,032 kilometers (641 miles) per charge under "comprehensive working conditions." This surpasses the range of the Lucid Air (516 miles), Tesla Model S (405 miles), and Mercedes EQS (350 miles). Additionally, the Zeekr 001 is also available with 86 kWh and 100 kWh battery packs in 2023, offering ranges of 339 miles (546 km) and 460 miles (741 km) respectively.

In addition to its impressive range, the flagship Zeekr 001 also features a new dual motor setup that delivers 536 horsepower, allowing it to go from zero to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds.

The exterior of the Zeekr 001 is a sleek hatchback sedan, which the company refers to as a "luxury safari coupe." Inside, the car has a minimalist dashboard, a 14.7-inch touchscreen on the center console, and an 8.8-inch display serving as the instrument cluster.

The entry-level Zeekr 001 starts at ¥300,000 (approximately $43,487), with prices rising to ¥403,000 ($58,457) for the longer-range model.
