The much-anticipated Hyundai Ioniq 5 N performance model is expected to debut soon. Like the standard Ioniq 5, the N version will likely feature a futuristic cabin design, including two 12-inch infotainment screens and a clean, minimalist dashboard and door trims. The N model may also feature a panoramic sunroof as standard.

The Ioniq 5 N is expected to come exclusively with the larger 72.6 kWh battery pack, providing up to 300 miles of range. Recent spy shots of the Ioniq 5 N reveal a wider stance, with 21-inch wheels and four-piston calipers hugging 400mm brake discs, similar to the Kia EV6 GT. The car will come equipped with a host of driver assistance features, including the popular drift mode, and will utilize the same battery and motors as the Kia EV6 GT, delivering 577 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque.

Despite being a crossover, the Ioniq 5 N appears lower, with wider front and rear bumpers and wheel arches. As with all cars from Hyundai N division, the Ioniq is designed for light track use, with a lower front bumper to facilitate improved battery cooling during spirited driving. The Ioniq 5 N is expected to go on sale next year, with much of its technology derived from the RN22e concept and Kia EV6 GT.
