The German Automobile manufacturer Daimler, the sub-brand of Mercedes-Benz produced the Mercedes-Benz EQS an electric full-size luxury sedan. It is planned to be released in Germany and the fourth quarter in the US in September 2021. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS looks to be one of the fanciest EVs ever and the sedan will be the flagship of the German automaker's electrified future. The EQS’s curvaceous bodywork is designed to slip effortlessly through the air for maximum efficiency. The car is powered by a water-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor; the motor has a rated power of 245 kW, and braking power of 186 kW, and a torque power is 368 Nm. The EQS has been available with the 108 kWh 400V NCM 811 lithium-ion batteries.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS features an instrument cluster that covers nearly the full extension of the dashboard and two separate OLED screens and an LCD. The whole infotainment system is powered by eight CPU cores, 24-gigabytes of RAM, and 377 square inches of the screen; consists of three separate displays under one glass panel, and a multi-purpose digital dashboard.
The car has safety and automated features: lane-keeping assists, cross-traffic alert, automatic parking assist, wireless phone charging, blind-spot monitoring including rear-seat exit warning, adaptive headlights, cruise control, avoidance assist (for pedestrians and bicycles), and traffic-sign recognition.
Mercedes-Benz says that 10-80% charging will take 31 minutes and that up to 280-300 km (174-186 miles) of the WLTP range can be replenished in just 15 minutes.
