Orange Bikes’ New Patriot Electric Bike has a 750-watt-hour Battery. UK’s Orange Bikes is bringing back the Patriot, a fan-favourite downhill racing MTB from the early 2000s. The new Patriot captures the latest in electric biking tech while keeping an eye on its legacy. Alongside its performance metrics, Orange has incorporated some thoughtful touches for practicality. Internally routed cables keep things neat, while a Zero Stack headset adds to the bike’s front-end stability. Also, the presence of a water bottle boss under the top tube makes hydration easier on long rides.
Motor and battery:
Equipped with a Bosch Performance Line CX motor, a name often echoed in e-bike discussions, the electric Patriot isn’t just relying on a classic character to turn heads. This motor cranks out 85 Newton meters of torque, making uphill trails and rocky terrains seem like child’s play. It houses a 750-watt-hour battery snugly fitted into its down tube, offering riders enough juice to fuel their adrenaline-packed adventures.
