Introduced:
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 2024 has been launched on 15 January 2024. It is available in three variants—Custom Shed, Custom Pro, and Custom Special, as well as four colour options—Sheet Metal Grey, Plasma Green, Green Drill, and Stencil White. In the dynamic world of motorcycles, Royal Enfield has cosistently held its ground, combining classic design with modern performance. The latest addition to their lineup, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, is set to redefine the riding experience in 2024.
Design:
The Shotgun 650 looks like a bobber owing to its bodywork, which slightly contrasts with the Super Meteor, on which it is modelled. Its structure, however, remains precisely the same as its sibling. The bike has a glossy black engine cover, spoked wheels made of alloy, shorter front, and rear fenders, as well as dual peashooter exhaust mufflers. Further, the mid-set footpegs and flattened handlebar accentuate the bike's aggressive riding position.
Features:
Many amenities come standard with the Shotgun 650, including full-LED lighting, a USB charging outlet, Tripper navigation, and a Wingman app that provides real-time location data, maintenance schedules, and more. The bike is one kilogram lighter than the Super Meteor at 240 kilograms. Its seat height is 795mm, and the fuel tank capacity is 13.8 litres.
Mechanical:
The Shotgun 650 runs on the same 648cc parallel-twin oil-cooled engine that is found on the Super Meteor. It produces 46.4bhp at 7,250rpm and 52.3Nm at 5,650rpm, with a six-speed transmission. For braking, the bike employs 320mm front and 300mm rear disc brakes, as well as dual-channel ABS. The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 comes fitted with 17-inch back wheels and 18-inch front wheels equipped with (radial) tubeless Ceat Zoom Cruz tyres with 100-section front and 150-section rear.
