Introduction:

Zeekr, a Chinese car manufacturer, has launched its latest innovation in the form of a compact luxury electric SUV, the Zeekr X. The vehicle features a host of new technologies, including face unlock and a mini refrigerator inside. The Zeekr X is the first luxury electric crossover model powered by a high-performance battery, and it comes with two power options. The single-electric motor option has a 200kW peak output and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.8 seconds. The 66kWh battery of this variant delivers an impressive range of 560km on a full charge, which is reduced to less than 400km in EPA terms.

The Zeekr X is priced competitively, starting at $27,600 or €25,000 for the ME version with a single electric motor. The AWD Zeekr X YOU starts at $30,500/€27,700, while the top-of-the-range 4-seat AWD Zeekr X, with automatic doors, Zero-G seats, and screens embedded in B-pillars for the thumbprint entry system, costs RMB 245,800 or $35,700 (€32,400). Despite its impressive features, this is still cheaper than the cheapest Tesla Model Y. The company is already receiving pre-orders for the Zeekr X, and the first deliveries are expected by June 2023.

The launch of the Zeekr X took place ahead of the Auto Shanghai show, where other major automakers such as Nio and BMW are expected to showcase their latest models. The Zeekr X is expected to make a strong impact in the market with its innovative features, competitive pricing, and impressive range.
