Kia EV9 Concept
Kia’s burgeoning electric vehicle lineup is set to include the EV9 SUV. Kia revealed the EV9 SUV, an extra-large concept EV with Soul-like angularity and an estimated range of up to 300 miles. The concept SUV measures 194 inches in length, 81 inches in width, 70 inches in height, and has a wheelbase of 122 inches. Like the Hyundai Seven, Kia says the EV9’s battery can charge from 10-80 percent in 20 to 30 minutes. Kia EV9 has the same 800-volt architecture as those other Evs, allowing it to accept DC fast charging at speeds up to 350 kilowatts. The interior is dominated by a 27-inch central touchscreen, which is about as wide as it gets in SUVs today. The flooring is made of recycled fishnets and the seats feature. The dashboard appears to be floating and is comprised of interesting-looking materials, a lot of which are made of sustainable materials. Being an electric car means the EV9 has less need for vast cooling vents like petrol- or diesel-powered car.
