The Byton k-Byte 2024 is an upcoming model expected to be released in 2023. This car will have an all-electric battery-powered sedan concept car. It was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show Asia CES in 2018. Like the M-Byte SUV, the K-Byte will come in two versions, AWD and RWD. RWD model with a 71 kWh battery and a 270 electric motor. The AWD version will have a 95 kWh battery and a 470 HP electric motor. The claimed ranges will be 520 km per charge in the AWD version and 3402 km per charge in the RWD version. However, that's by using the NEDC test protocol, which could be more realistic in real-world driving conditions. Byton K-Byte will unveil the RWD entry-level model with the 71kWh battery, and the product will launch in 2023.
It will be propelled by a rear electric motor with a practical output of 200kW, providing 295lb-ft (400Nm) of torque.
It estimated EPA's 250-mile range should be more than enough for most daily enables short road trips and commutes. Sensor integration for autonomous driving is front and center within the K-Byte Concept's design aesthetic. With an elegant and slender module on the rooftop, the bow-shaped BYTON LiBow system integrates front and rear lidar sensors to allow a full-view panoramic scan of the vehicle's surroundings.
