Zero DS is an upcoming electric motercycle that has been launched in 2023. Zero DS will have a permanent interior magnet at the radial flux, with energy supplied by a 14.4 kWh lithium-ion battery and brushless motor. It will produce 166 lb-ft of torque, and the new S can manage 82 miles of range through city streets and 100 hp horsepower with a top speed of 98 mph. The Zero says the DS will have an off-road range of 82 miles on a fully charged battery and the (as in Dual-Sport) shares the same base configuration as the S, including motor and battery. However, it will share the same Z-Force 75-7 brushless motor while producing 116 lb-ft of torque, a top speed of 102 mph, 70 horses, and a more robust 14.4 kWh power pack a claimed range of 163 miles of range. They will all be powered and controlled by the company’s proprietary Cipher II Operating System, the Bluetooth connectivity module, Bosch ABS (standard on all three models), to pair the machine to the mobile app for rider customizations that manage the motor. The front suspension is Fully-adjustable Showa inverted cartridge forks; 7” and the rear suspension is Fully-adjustable Showa piggy-back reservoir mono-shock; 7.03”.
