The Korean Hyundai Luxury automaker Genesis manufactures the Genesis GV60. It will be unveiled its electric vehicle in 2022. The company says it’s committed to making all its new vehicles purely electric starting from 2025 with fuel-cell EVs and battery EVs.
The GV60 incorporates styling elements found in other Genesis models, Genesis hasn't released any information about the GV60's powertrain yet, but we expect both rear- and all-wheel-drive models; the most powerful EV6 trim boasts up to 576 horsepower.
The Genesis GV60 will be a new model and the brand’s third SUV when it comes to the market. Genesis says deliveries are expected to start in 2022, and they will be marketed as 2023 models.
Genesis has not released any information about pricing and features will be standard and optional on the GV60, but both the Ioniq 5 and EV6 offer a 77.4-kWh battery pack that, in some versions, should enable more than 300 miles of range, and they're taking all kinds of charging including speedy DC fast charging and bi-directional capability that could be used for future smart-home features. We expect the starting price around $55,000. It’s large than the Ioniq 5 and EV6.
Wireless charging technology has been available in GV60; such inductive tech uses a magnetic field through two coils to allow the current transfer, charging the EV's battery pack over the course of hours without any physical connection.
The interior, on the face of it, is really clean and spacious in design. A crystal sphere mounted into the center console rotates, it’s packed with plus materials though, and changes color based on whether the car is ready to drive turned off, or park.
